Summer storm and adventures…

So, yesterday I decided that, despite the vertical rivers happening outside, I was going to go see my printer, Walter, in Sausalito, to pick up the new Giclee prints I had ordered from him… Well, I started with a little request to my angels (I have great guardians when I’m driving) to really watch over me, my car being old and the weather being really challenging…

So there I go,  carefully under the speed limit, windshield wipers wiping and all, and half way around the lagoon I realize that I forgot to take any money ! OK. So back to home base. And back on the road. Gentle pace, good music on the radio, I make my way up the hill on Panoramic and through thick pockets of dripping fog, make it down the hill as well, without a hitch. Good ! I think, that was easy… and I glance at my dashboard as I usually do pretty frequently, and see that my temperature gage  shows really higher than normal…  and as I watch it, keeps climbing at an alarming speed ! Rats ! Fortunately (as I say I have great guardians on the road…) at the same time I am arriving in Tam Junction and I can gently turn right and park right in front of the auto mechanic shop that’s next to the gas station ! 🙂 Yes ! It’s open, and to make a long story short, the mechanic took the time to refill my radiator (brand new) that was mysteriously empty, and to give me a gallon of water, check for leaks and all and finally sent me on my way, without charging me a cent !  What about that, huh ?   We don’t exactly know what happened maybe a thermostat starting to be funky, but at any rate, I went on with my day, and my good old car didn’t act up at all any more. The radiator was still totally full when I got ready to go back to Bolinas, and the trip back was perfectly easy and smooth…  Time to open the studio when I arrived and as I did, I couldn’t help  but smiling because you know, that was a pretty cool little morning !

Later on, I spent most of my day framing the prints (and as usual they are gorgeous, thanks to Walter) and I thought how very blessed I am, considering how easy it had been… I am very grateful.

May your day be blessed, too !

More later…
