outside in tempestuous bliss

This beloved work of mine was inspired during a trip to Kauai, on a morning with particularly volatile weather… Having breakfast in a small restaurant next to a large window giving on the garden below, and completely enthralled by the palms whipping in the wind, the rain pierced by shafts of light, the over all balmy temperature and the magic of the moment, I saw this painting in my mind’s eye.
It took me many sketches and more than 2 years after going home to finally paint “Outside in, tempestuous bliss”…

This Archival Giclee print is UV resistant and will last for many decades.
The paper version will have to be framed and protected with glass like a watercolor.
The canvas version Giclee can be framed if you wish but doesn’t need to be, since the image wraps around the edges in gallery fashion.
